Daum Landscape Vase

One of the most stunning series of vases in all of French Glass.

Landscape vases usually have a very fine tracery of trees and bushes on a plain pastel coloured or sunset background.

Daum Freres were the glass artists who produced these lovely pieces.

The Daum Studio was started by Jean Daum in 1875 and his sons Auguste and Antonin took over the studio in the Art Nouveau period and produced magnificent vases and sculptures in glass in the Art Nouveau Style.

Landscape vases were very popular between 1905 and 120 but the Daum Company still produces pate de verre lassware for art glass and crystal sculptures today.

There are reproductions still being offered today.

These are about 1/10th of the price of originals.
