Pantin Paperweights
Pantin Paperweights and glassware were one of the foremost glassmaking companies of the 19th century.
Cristallerie de Pantin were founded by E.S.Monot at Lavillette in 1850.
In 1855 they moved to Pantin near Paris and manufactured al kinds of glassware from Chemical apparatus and tubes to large chandeliers.
They exhibited at Paris Universal Exposition of 1878 with an amazing range of paperweights including very lifelike reptile and snakes together with equally lifelike fruit paperweights.
They also had a range of millefiore paperweights.
In 1915 they merged with Legras & Cie to form a new company Verreries et Cristalleries de St. Denis et Pantin.
