Although these are the instantly recognisable names, antique french lamps were made by numerous smaller firms and many of these are not only attractive in themselves but may even by copies of the major anique french lamps companies products produced at the time.
Copying of new products from rivals was commonplace in late 19th century France and it was certainly easier than designing their own products !
Do not dismiss an older Frnch lamp just because it does not bear a famous signature.
It is a great way to own a fairly unusual piece of Art Nouveau Art (especially Antique French Lamps) at a substantial discount from what you would pay for a piece by Daum or Lalique !
