Crystal Paperweights
Crystal Paperweights were the main output of the major Art Glassmakers like Rene Lalique ,Clichy,St louis and Daum.
Collectors demanded better and better quality crystal paperweights and the glassmakers were pleased to oblige with their new ranges.
Even in Victorian times a crystal paperweight from France was a very desirable gift and these found their way to the boardrooms of major Victorian Companies throughout Europe.
Themes of crystal paperweights included flowers,millefiore and natureal subjects like insects,reptiles and butterfiles - all carefully crafted in crystal glass to exceptionally high standards.
